You say I am the future, do not disregard my Present.

You say I am Peace's hope, do not push me to War.

You say I am the promise of Goodness, do not trust me to Evil.

You say I am the Light of your eyes, do not abandon me in Darkness.

I do not expect only your Bread, give me Enlightenment and Understanding.

I do not wish to enjoy only your festive Caress, I beg you the Love that educates.

I do not want just Toys, I ask from you good Conduct and good Words.

I am not simply an Ornament of your tenderness, I am Someone who knocks on you door for God's sake.

Teach me Labor and Humility, Devotion and Forgiveness.

Have compassion for me and guide me,  in a way that I may become Good and Just.

Correct me, while there's still time, even if I need to suffer...

Help me today, so that you will not cry tomorrow.
